    Hello,

I have started having a problem with index.* files on 3 accounts.
After visiting them with IE 6 (Win XP Pro SP2) the index page does not fetch from the acc dir but instead it comes like a file with Unknown Content Type with content like
One of the accounts has a parked domain and the problem exist only on the parked domain.

Checking this with Firefox, Opera doen not bring any troubles.

group, ownership, file and dir permissions are correct.

    Anyone experienced that before ?

I had this problem when I upgraded to php 4.3.10 (or newest).

I just recompiled making small changes to config until it didn't happen.

I heard somewhere people speaking of this problem, and they said it had to do with the system software supporting PHP... if it was newer, you wouldn't have a problem.

I think this is a good reason to rebuild the kernel perhaps.

Have you done so? Is that the reason yours goes well?

I thought it has to deal with the client OS / Browser.

I've been monitoring these 3 domains and noticed the weird page content appear / disappear from time to time. I still can not figure out how is this happening.

My observasions show that the problem exists with WinXP SP2 And Win2k3 Latest SP and IE.

I have the latest kernel for the OS I am running.

not sure if our problems are related, but ever since updating [or trying to i should say] to php 4.3.10 from 4.3.9 i have had on and off problems with bringing up websites on our test server.
first i noticed that if you don't have the absolute newest version of zend installed, the previous version hoses php because it's not compatible with 4.3.10
i have been trying to slowly recompile apache/php with our needed modules one by one just to try to find out what exactly is breaking things. sometimes the only way to un-hose apache/php is to copy an old httpd.conf.failsafe to httpd.conf and then rerun /scripts/easy apache with one of the basic options.

now, this is the most recent problem i'm having... when i load a site in firefox without explicitly mentioning the index file [www.example.com/] i get a save file box [see attachment] when i load the exact same website with the index [www.example.com/index.php] it works fine.
either way works fine in IE, and this just started happening since upgrading to php 4.3.10

any ideas? i'll keep hammering at this to try and find a solution, but if anybody thinks of anything, please let me know.

    thanks.
    -brien.
