    Good weekend to you all,
    yesterday I discovered that my domains fail to be served. The browsers hang , waiting for..

    I've just spent the better part of the day trying to solve this problem myself, looking through all relevent posts. I've tried numerous solutions to no evail. Anyone who may have an idea please post here.

    I login ssh to my server via domain name, this works so it's not a name problem, mail also works.
    first I did;
    /etc/init.d/httpd stop
    /etc/init.d/httpd start
    then /usr/local/apache/bin/httpd -t
    Syntax OK
    then I reinstalled apache:
    first:
    mv /usr/local/apache /usr/local/apache.OLD
    then:
    mv /home/cpapachebuild /home/cpapachebuild.old
    this was to ensure that apache was gone and the cpapachebuild was recent.
    then: /scripts/updatenow
    then: /scripts/easyapache
    I chose the number 1 option to avoid any conflicts or problems.
    -Waiting for httpd to restart..............finished.
    -httpd started ok
    -/scripts/killmoddav
    -service httpd restart

    A curious symptom is when I make the call:
    -service httpd status- the result is:
    Not Found
    The requested URL /server-status was not found on this server.

    or is this just me being blocked by my firewall? I did check that of course.

    in my httpd.conf I have put at the end of the file the following:
    <VirtualHost 69.90.172.35>
    ServerAdmin webmaster@twincascos.net
    DocumentRoot /home/twincasc/public_html
    BytesLog domlogs/twincascos.net-bytes_log
    ServerName www.twincascos.net
    ScriptAlias /cgi-bin/ /home/twincasc/public_html/cgi-bin/
    User twincasc
    Group twincasc
    ServerAlias twincascos.net www.twincascos.net
    CustomLog domlogs/twincascos.net combined
    </VirtualHost>
    I have also uncommented the line : NameVirtualHost *:80

    This has me very confused
    :confused:
