Apache Hangs

Im trying to update apache from 4.42 to 4.44 and get this

Downloading and compiling apache+modules....

It just hangs and wont go anywhere else

You mean you were trying to re-compile Php v4.4.4! That error doesn't message doesn't tell me enough to help.

yes I was trying to update apache to php 4.44 form php 4.42 but thats all it does there is no error messages
