    We have one Problem on one Server. The Serverload Jumps from one Second to a other Second from 0.5 to 15 or more and from 109 Processes to over 200. These Processes are all Apache Processes. When Viewing Apache Status in WHM the Status table Displays:

    ___W__W_W_WWW_____RW__R___W_W_________W____W._.WW..

    Those waiting Processes are only there when the Load jumps.

    I have Recompiled Apache but no change. When looking to the Apache Processtable in WHM the Processes with the Highest Load are mainly Images such like:

    -0 24474 0/1635/1635 _ 26.52 1 0 0.0 5.37 5.37 80.129.62.219 www.xxxxx.de GET /bilder_neu/themes/default/neu_rot.gif HTTP/1.1

    Anyone can help here ?

Changed the Harddriv installed more Memory nothing helps here. The Machine is a Dual Xeon 2.0 GHZ with now 2 GB Memory, but Loads sometimes are Jumping from 0.15 to 6.0 and more from one second to another. I háve rebuilded Apache different Times with different modules still noc change.i never had this Problems befor those Loads where there from one Day to another. What could this be ?

    Could this be the bottleneck ?

    /dev/hda:
    multcount = 16 (on)
    IO_support = 1 (32-bit)
    unmaskirq = 1 (on)
    using_dma = 1 (on)
    keepsettings = 0 (off)
    readonly = 0 (off)
    readahead = 8 (on)
    geometry = 9729/255/63, sectors = 156301488, start = 0

    hdparm /dev/hdb

    /dev/hdb:
    multcount = 16 (on)
    IO_support = 0 (default 16-bit)
    unmaskirq = 0 (off)
    using_dma = 1 (on)
    keepsettings = 0 (off)
    readonly = 0 (off)
    readahead = 8 (on)
    geometry = 9729/255/63, sectors = 156301488, start = 0

    Cause one HDD is running with 32bit the other one with 16bit. But both are identical HDD's
