Apache is up sites are down

    HI all,

    this is really weired, All the sites are down. but all the staus aer up. It works only if we reboot teh server.

    Does anybody knwo where may be the problem?

    If you go to "Apache Status", and it fails to show the status, it could be you need to raise your FD_SETSIZE. You should check your apache error logs for more info (/usr/local/apache/logs/error_log). It should give you some clue as to what is going on...

    on mod_gzip installed boxes I have seen /tmp fill up from .wrk files and apache can't serve pages becuase mod_gzip can't write to /tmp

    Although more information is needed -- to help in this particular sitution -- in general, when Apache is up and sites are down you only need to restart BIND.

    I was assuming they were resolving to the proper IPs.
