Can I make changes to the file /var/cpanel/templates/apache2_2/vhost.default and not have those changes overwritten?

Or does EasyApache or upcp destroy those changes?

To make changes to that, copy vhost.default to vhost.local, and change the .local file instead. The .local files are not overwritten by cPanel updates. but the .default ones are.
