I'm finding anytime that I update Apache lately, or the server for that matter, that I have to compile apache like 20x (well it seems) but honestly 3-4x in the shell before I can get it to restart again. I"ll get the alias error then the bytelog error and so on...

I'm running Current CPanel version, I've not updated my kernel though. Is anyone else having these issues? Or am I just an idiot not doing something right?

Also, my mysql keeps flaking out and I have to keep resetting my root password to get it to work correctly. Anyone have any insight on this matter for me? I'm really getting frustrated. I need a solution or need to know whats going on before next week as I'm having someone fill in for me who's really a noob with CPanel because I"m going in for extensive surgery and will be out of it for 4-6 weeks.

Thanks

Check your log files for any errors might be leading to the cause of the problems you have with MySQL and Apache. Also, check the syntax in your httpd.conf file and my.cnf.
