My Apache server runs as user nobody, and I would like to configure it to run under its own account (apache) for security reasons, following the several recommendations I've found on net.
When I asked my support about It they told me that this is not supported and they are not sure
am I going to have issues with cPanel. Does anybody have experience with this, and should I expect any issues with cPanel if I configure Apache to run under user apache instead user nobody?

    Thank you!

You can expect just about everything related to the web server to break. Instead I'd recommend turning on phpsu with suexec as you'll end up with a much better security gain.
