Right now, I have Apache updated. I've checked all my logs, and nothing gives me any help other than a pid file being overwritten. I have Apache2 installed at /usr/local/apache2 but nothing failed until I added SSL support, but even removing it again makes WHM complain of apache13 failing.

Apache13 is running as user/group 'nobody' while Apache2 is running as 'www'.

I'll say again, the log files hae given me nothing useful. Both daemons work fine, but cPanel just complains that httpd fails and the service monitor says it's offline while flooding my inbox with the same complaints.

    Any ideas?

    Go on, have a guess
Which one responds on chkservd and other scripts check on the localhost address whether it is up and running and you need to make sure that v1.3 is bound to the localhost address.
