If you don't need the imap module deselect that and build without it, that'll work. If however like me you need the imap module I have no idea, a checkbox to add that parameter into the build command would be nice!

Some feedback on getting this issue resolved WITH the imap module would be swell right about now folks, seeing as how 3 serious vulnerabilities in php 4.3.10/5.0.3 will be fully disclosed in less than 3 months time. Anyone??

Right, since cpanel aren't bothering to offer any advice, here's a working solution, we've just tested this and it works without any hitches. Keep in mind this solution assumes we're talking about a FreeBSD system.

    1. log in or su to root.
    2. cd /usr/ports/mail/cclient
    3. make deinstall
    4. make WITHOUT_SSL=yes install clean
    5. procede to update apache/php as normal with the imap module, curl, and whatever else you need. The error should be gone.

The error is due to cclient being built with SSL enabled, which requires all associated components to ALSO be compiled with imap-SSL support, since it appears easyapache does not include the required switch to add the imap-SSL parameter your update runs will always fail. Ideally you'd want SSL enabled, but since manually updating php is a trickier procedure for a novice than just turning SSL back off, that's the solution I've offered above. If you ain't a novice you probably already know what to do to get php updated on your own :P.

Thanks! That fixed my problem as well as I was getting build errors for both cURL and IMAP since the option for --with-ssl wasn't available in WHM.

Glad that info was helpful to a couple people. Any questions about that particular procedure please feel free to PM me, I don't always get notifications of new posts to the thread.

Just a tip, if you follow the above and have problem reinstalling cclient, do:
    'make clean'
    then do the reinstall again.
