ApacheTop

Discussion in 'EasyApache' started by AexiSolutions, Sep 3, 2005.

  1. I'm trying to install ApacheTop (or some variant) to be able to monitor apache usage should the system suffer from a sudden load spike.

I currently have iftop, mytop & atop installed, however, I'm stuck with ApacheTop.

The script asks for a log file to use, so I initially gave it the access log and it does nothing, same with any of the domlogs.

Looking at httpd.conf its not using access_log for combined logging.

Also, if I were to use access_log it would be innacurate wouldn't it?.. Seeing as that log is only used if a virtualhost does not contain another variable, like all cPanel setup accounts do.

    Suggestions?
