Hello everyone,

I'm new here and I'm not quite familiar with DNS.
I was trying to deploy my website, and I get the following issues.
When typing:
[1] root.com.au
[2] www.root.com.au
[3] https://www.root.com.au
I can always get the correct website;

However, when typing:
[4] https://root.com.au
The link was considered unsafe, and I have no idea why this happens.

I tried to configure the redirection so that [4] will redirect to [3],
Therefore, I'd like to know if this type of redirection is supported by cPanel?
And if so, how can I make it? Could anyone walk me through this step by step?

Thanks and kind regards,
Anson

Hello,

the redirection is fully supported, the issue being most likely that you don't have an SSL certificate. When you attempt to navigate over https to a domain without an SSL certificate two things can happen;

1. it may have an SSL VirtualHost which includes a designed SSL certificate

2. It may not have an SSL VirtualHost and the first VirtualHost in the Apache configuration on that IP address with an SSL VirtualHost is loaded instead.
