    Folks,

is there an API call to get the cpanel account password?

I would pass the account name/username but need the "current" password without resetting it.
I have an addon program running on another server that needs to send emails. I wanted to use the API get the users password and then use that info to authenicate with the SMTP service to send those emails.

By doing this the SMTP traffic will be part of the hosting stats.

The problem I am facing is if the customer changes their password...I can't send email as them unless the API will allow me to check each time...

    Thanks.

    Matt

No. All passwords are stored in nonreversible salted hashes.
