I ordered a cloud server with CPanel.

Generally I have ordered reseller packages in the past, which have only involved me creating the account on CPanel then pointing the website directly at the server by changing the dns records at my domain registrar, which worked 100% every time.

Whats got be confused with ordering this cloud server is the whole nameserver thing.
What I wanted to ask, is it necessary to setup nameservers, can I just create the account through CPanel and then point the domain directly at the server which I have done in the past.

I am the only one using this server as well.

    Hello :),

Yes, nameservers are necessary for a server. You will need at least 2 nameservers. You can keep same IP for both of them.
In the reseller package, the server already had the nameservers set. So the Reseller provider gave you a set of Nameservers to point your domains to the server.
