I have one client who would like to have others buy directly from me, but get setup under their reseller account.

If they buy a package called "tiny" with zero addon domains, 1MB transfer, and 1MB of disk space, zero subdomains, zero parked (this is all an example, don't get too excited) will the accounts they resell be limited by these numbers?

Or, if I have an account called "big" with 1000 domains, 1TB of transfer, 1TB of disk, and sign someone up and put it under this persons account ... will those limits be okay, or will they be limited to what the resellers package has?

You might take a closer look at the Reseller Center in WHM. You can set limits there.

Yes, I saw that. You can set disk and bandwidth limitations, and allow overselling.

But that said, how about the other stuff - add on domains, etc.?

So if the reseller signs up for a plan with 10MB of transfer, does the transfer limit I put in the reseller center become the limit in question? If I set the to 5000TB, does this mean the reseller's domains under there account are limited to 10MB, but their resold plans can go up to 5000TB?

    That would be preferable.

Keep in mind that a reseller account in a cPanel/WHM environment is both a reseller account and a cPanel/WHM account. The limits set for the reseller account are independent of the limits set for the cPanel account (though those do count against their reseller allocation).

This means your reseller can have an overall allocation of 500 TB of transfer while their cPanel account(s) can be limited to 10 MB of transfer individually. This means their own cPanel account could be suspended for excessive bandwidth (exceeding 10 MB), while they haven't exceeded their reseller allocation (500 TB).

Of course, a reseller can modify the allocations for any account they own.
