    Go on, have a guess
Not sure that I understand your question. Are you saying that you would like to see a newer version of a script offered through the WHM > Addon Scripts, section? If so, you should log an enhancement request in bugzilla. Alternatively, you could install openinstaller yourself if they have a more recent version: www.openinstaller.com

I have created an automated install script!

I have made an automated install script for "OpenInstaller" it downloads and installs all the source files for you!

    ----------------------- Source Below --------------------------------

    cd /usr/local/cpanel/addons/

    echo Downloading Source Files
    wget http://www.openinstaller.com/distfiles/CPG-Nuke/CPG-Nuke.tar.bz2

purple-support: Thank you for providing your update script. You may want to go through and edit it to not include certain installers that are known to be broken or out of date. Also installupdateoi.gz, openscripts.gz, and updateoi.gz are not script installers. They are the beta OI update script. ;)

Just a thought, but would you add a banner link to PurplePaw on your website?

This is an updated version of the script.

Attached in this file is a file called update and also you will need to scp or ftp this to your root directory and then chmod +x and then ./update and walla! your scripts are upto date! :D

    Hello,

So this will update the add-on scripts?

Is there any risk of using this?

    Thanks, Chaze

Wow, I love that http://www.openinstaller.com do this. However does anyone know whetehr cpanel updates will overwrite (downgrade) these addon scripts back to the cpanel versions?? This is my only concern.

I guess if cpanel DOES revert the scripts then the solution would be to simply chnage the directory names of the scripts you have updated from http://www.openinstaller.com....
