    Hi

    I need an addon to run ASP/ASPX scripts on my CentoOS 4.4 box. Does anyone have any experience of one?

    Cheers
    Chriz

    Hello,

    Please follow the following steps.

    wget http://layer1.cpanel.net/apache-asp.sea
    sh apache-asp.sea
    rm apache-asp.sea
    pico /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf
    Add the following lines to the file:

    <Files ~ (\.asp)>
    SetHandler perl-script
    PerlModule Apache::ASP
    PerlHandler Apache::ASP
    PerlSetVar Global .
    PerlSetVar StateDir /tmp/asp
    </Files>

    Hold down CTRL and press O then ENTER.
    Hold down CTRL and press X.
    You should now have Apache::ASP working on all the sites on your server

    Let me know if you need any further assistance.

    Thanks

    These instructions are massively out of date.

    A search or two of these forums would have found that.

    As a previous poster mentioned, ASP on non-windows server is just plain *not* recommended.... you might get it to work, but not well, not consistently, and not reliably.
