Assign 127.0.0.1:port to user's domain

    I have two sites, which are communicating via POST requests. They are doing this over the public IP. For efficiency, is it possible to have cPanel/Apache direct a port on 127.0.0.1 to a site (in addition to the public IP), so that they may communicate without using bandwidth on the public interface?
