I am on a virtual private sever with root access. When I go to edit setup, and try to assign an IP to one of my private nameservers, it says an ip has already been assigned to the nameserver?

What does that mean? Here's the message

Sorry, the nameserver ns1.romeo-help4u.com already has the ip 209.97.196.225 assigned to it.

The weird thing is though, the ip that I gave ns1.romeo-help4u.com isn't 209.97.196.255 instead it's .224 at the end.

And also, when I click on Manage Nameserver IPs, the ip is .224, but why does it say .255 when I try to assign an ip in edit setup?
