So i got all the sites moved over to the new VPS, and the sites are live. The last thing i need ot do is to assign the dedicated ip that my host xfered over for me to the domain again.
The reason i am making this post is that i read some docs and i also read some posts here, and there are so many variations as to what people are doing with ded ip that i was getting confused.
And your not going to believe this. My host tells me
So just to let you know exactly what i did so far and exactly what i need to happen so there is no confusion here.
I went to vps whm and and then
i went to SSL TLS ->
and then i went to manage ssl hosts and i assigned the ssl cert thinking it would give me an option to put in the ip.
i selected install from the cert menu because there was nothing assigned yet,
I did not see that option so i approved it, now its assigned to the right domain but the wrong ip, its assigned to the shared ip not the ded one.
So now what do i do?
please remember be specific either reseller whm cpanal or vps whm cpanel as to where i need to do this..
thanks
i guess i need to assign the ded ip to my domain first but not sure how to do that, every time i read the doc i get confused, is this the vps whm or the reseller whm or what lol

do i need to do this, i found this on a forum
i think i need to edit the domain zone from the vps whm zone editor and replace the shared ip with the dedicated ip ?

that didnt work so i deleted the assigned ssl via vps whm ssl tls, then went to change a sites ip address in vps whm, and took my reseller domain off of the shared ip and onto the dedicated ip address.

so now all i have to do i think is assign it again if a can i think, help me lol hee hee

i read that like 4 times and what do i do, i freaken go into vps whm and activate the SSL first... OMG... grrrr. No problem, your all set, be sure to assign your dedi IP "xxx.xx.xxx.xxx"
to DDH before assigning the SSL.

- - - Updated - - -Do you have cPanel installed? If so, before that URL will work you will need to disable mod_userdir protection. You can do this in WHM by clicking Security Center > Apache mod_userdir Tweak.
