Hi,

Is there anything I can do to prevent this ongoing attempt to login to my server, I get hundreds attempts every day.

See attachment just for an example of the last hours.

Thanks

Hello :)

First, you should ensure you have a firewall such as CSF installed on your system. Next, browse to "WHM Home » Security Center » cPHulk Brute Force Protection" and review the brute force entries to see which service is attacked the most. For instance, if it's SSH, then you can change the SSH port to help mitigate the attack.

Thank you.

I have 4 cPanel servers, and they've all seen increased brute force attempts in the last several days.
Hello :)

It's common for attacks to increase or decrease in frequency. The best way to address the issue is to utilize a firewall and utilities such as cPHulk.

Thank you.
