Auto Heal??

    When Doing updates thorugh SSH, using /scripts/upcp There is a message surronded by !!!! and in green the says Cpanel Auto Heal. What is that?? Any one know

    I believe it related to the RHEv3 bind-libs issue. cPanel were probably making sure all bind installs had the latest bind-libs rpms.

    from what Nick told me he also included (of will include) a tiny little dns resolver that will work just incase your resolv.conf doesn't point to a working NS as well. So while in the process of healing itself ..it will use it's own methods of resolving what it needs to resolve to download all the necessary files.

    I just tried to update to 10.8.2-EDGE_434 on a Freebsd 5.4 box and that green "Auto Heal" thing came up. Is it supposed to do that regardless of the OS or just when running RHE ??

    It's a generic script for any fixups that cPanel think necessary by the looks of it.
