auto updates

    Is there a way so that Cpanel does not auto update say Apache, php ETC? I'd rather manually update these things as some need special configs ....

    Apache and PHP are not auto updated at all. You have to run easyapache to have them updated. You can see what is set for auto update in WHM under Update Config.
