I was sure this topic would've been beat to death and maybe it has been, but I couldn't find any relevant threads via the search function. I'm looking for an automated full site backup solution. I am using cpanel and have been looking at services such as backomatic etc. but like most computer services it seems to be a quagmire with many options, and many decisions to make. I am currently making backups to my server and then downloading them to my desktop then removing them from the server because the backups are running about 5.5 GB in size right now. I'm on a VPS and my site is content rich with an emphasis on images.

What I'm looking for is a service that will back my site up dailt and just keep the last 1 or 2 backups on a remote server. I'm sure there's other considerations but I don't know what they are and this is the reason for my post. Can someone point me in the right direction making these decisions? Maybe not which company to use as much as any considerations I am unaware of. Thanks, Kevin.

Get a cheap VPS ($4-5/month) and configure WHM Backtp to save backup on a remove server.

WHM Home >> Backup >> Backup Configuration >> Additional Destinations >> SFTP

Hello :)

You can essentially setup any remote server for storage and store backups via the remote FTP option in:

"WHM Home » Backup » Backup Configuration"

This is documented at:

Backup Configuration

Thank you.
