This is my vision: Signup and automatic creation of a gallery2 account. Free gallery2 accounts with quotas, with the option of upgrading to a paid, high storage/bandwidth account.
Is there a way to automate customer signup via some billing software while creating a gallery2 account for them via a 3rd party script, whether Fantastico or any other 3rd party software? I see a domain as http://www.somedomain.com/signup_name or http://signup_name.somedomain.com as the url for it. Admin user name and password for gallery2 would probably have to be created - most likely the same user/pass combo as used for their package setup; instructions for how to access and login to their gallery would also have to be emailed to the customer.
In my case, I'm using Fantastico and rvskin as my 3rd party scripts, though I'm open to any scripts that would make this possible.
