Automated way to migrate WHM packages?

Hello,

I currently have a reseller license to WHM/CPANEL with on a reseller shared hosting account. In such an account set-up I don't have root access. Although I might be able to ask the provider to do something that requires root access (perhaps).

I am changing to another provider, and that account will also give me a WHM/CPANEL reseller system.

I would like to know if there is an automated way I can migrate my WHM data (packages and feature sets) from one WHM installation to another.

So far I've not found any information on how to do this.
Answers I have found seem to involve WHM options I don't have access to. For instance, this thread, mentions WHM > TRANSFERS... Yet I have no TRANFERS option/menu. This thread makes similar suggestions. Although there's no mention of transferring the WHM configuration (packages/feature sets). I can transfer all the cpanel sub-accounts using the cpanel backup system.

Is there a way to go about migrating the PACKAGES and FEATURE SETS, without root access?

If the host agrees to assist, is this data something they would be able to export for me?

Thank you.

Hello :)

There's no supported method of transferring this data if you don't have root access to either server. You can ask your provider on the destination server to copy the packages over for you, or you could re-create the packages in Web Host Manager.

Thank you.

Root access to Web Host Manager allows for the use of the "Transfer Tool" option:

Transfer Tool - Documentation - cPanel Documentation

However, yes, when dealing with multiple providers, this is not helpful without root access to both the source and destination servers. Ultimately, re-creating the packages is the best option in this case.

Thank you.
