I noticed that after a recent cp update, my exim.conf was modified and the ClamAV line (av_scanner = clamd:/var/clamd) has disappeared!

Is there any particular reason for that change? Does it mean that ClamAV has been entirely disabled from my Exim?

Hello :)

Could you let us know which version of cPanel you updated to? Also, are using the ClamAV plugin provided by cPanel, or is it a manual installation of ClamAV? What method did you use to update the av_scanner entry in the /etc/exim.conf file?

Thank you.

I think its too late because since then it has auto-updated to a newer version, no idea which one it was that broke clamav.

I'm using the ClamAV plugin provided by cPanel.

Eventually, I fixed the issue by re-building the exim configuration (there was no need to change anything), just hit rebuild and then restarted exim. The rebuild procedure properly re-generated the av_scanner line.
