    Hi

We have some cutom configuration in awstats conf file
How ever cpanel overwrite this file when a update is run.

Any suggestion as to how to retain cutom settings in awstat conf file.

My recommendation involves the creation of 2 shell scripts:
    - /scripts/preupcp to backup your awstats conf file
    - /scripts/postupcp to restore your backed up awstats conf file

This will allow you to edit your awstats conf file without worrying about a cPanel software update overwriting it.

    Hi

    Interesting question

The only solutions to preserve a custom modify to /home/blabla/tmp/awstast.blabla.com.conf is to create shell script to restore custom conf after upgrade (that overwrite it) ?

Other solutions for single domain awstats customizzation on .conf ?

For customizzation that must be applicated to all domain on server need only to modifiy /usr/local/cpanel/etc/awstats.conf , right ?

    thanks

Yes, the server side configuration is: /usr/local/cpanel/etc/awstats.conf
and in case you need to customize a clients awstats configuration, you can make the changes and set a attribute to it to make sure it isn't overwritten
