I was having a bit of play with Awstats on another system (standalone, no cPanel) and was rather impressed with the WHOIS plugin (very useful for finding IP addresses which don't have reverse IP lookup). I thought that using that on cPanel would be useful and had a good old poke around the system for the domain's awstats conf file (which I found at /home/xxx/public_html/awstats/

Looking at the conf file reveals that the WHOIS plugin is available to load, but I didn't have the relevant Perl module. So I took care of that with the /scripts/perlinstaller script and that was installed successfully. However, Awstats does not seem to want to pick up the plugin. The GeoIPfree plugin is fine, but not the WHOIS one.

Unless there is another conf file somewhere hanging around the system which Awstats uses instead of the one in the domain's account, I'm at a bit of a loss..
