    Hello everything,

I'm hoping someone will be able to help me. One of my technical minded techies decided to help make things more efficient today by changing the following files:

    /usr/local/cpanel/base/awstats.conf
    /usr/local/cpanel/etc/awstats.conf
    /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/bin/awstats.conf

So, now I get this lovely message (and so does everyone else on the server):

Error: awstats failed to create directory DirData (DirData="%AWSTATSDIR%", CreateDirDataIfNotExists=1).

Setup ('./awstats.conf' file, web server or permissions) may be wrong.
See AWStats documentation in 'docs' directory for informations on how to setup awstats

Can anyone email me the default .conf files that are supposed to be in these three locations that were generated by WHM/CPanel? Any help would be great as I need to get these people back up and running.

    RESOLVED

    The answer was:

    remove the following files:

    /usr/local/cpanel/base/awstats.conf
    /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/bin/awstats.conf

    Only have:

    /usr/local/cpanel/etc/awstats.conf

If you copy awstats.conf to the other two directories, awstats craps out. :)
