Hello,

I went into the WHM Statistics Software Configuration and configured both Log Processing Frequency and Bandwidth Processing Frequency to run once every 1 hour. There are no blackout periods set within the Statistics Schedule.

Whenever I go into my Awstats I always have to manually update it myself using the "Update now" link. Shouldn't my Awstats automatically be updating once every hour? This is how I would like it to work. How can I make this happen?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello again,

Would anyone be able to help me with this? I just want to set it up so that Awstats updates every 60min for one of the accounts on the server!

Thanks again!

To more effectively diagnose and troubleshoot the issue, please let us know the following details:
1.) Is the issue affecting only AWStats, or is it also affecting Webalizer and Analog stats, and are all three stats programs set as both "Available to Users" and "Active by Default" (as configured via Statistics Software Configuration in WHM)?
2.) Is the issue affecting one user, multiple users, or all users?
3.) Instead of using AWStats to perform the update manually, please try the following command (via root SSH access):
Code:
# /scripts/runstatsonce

If needing to setup one account to have stats processed more frequently than other users this is possible to accomplish using a custom cron job setup via root SSH access. The following command may be used either manually or in a cron job; in this example the text "username" should be replaced by the actual username of the cPanel account:
Code:
# /scripts/runweblogs username

Hello,

I have the same problem. When I look into /home/*/tmp/awstats this folder is empty and no awstats conf files.

Is there a solution to auto generate conf awstats for all domains in their tmp/awstats folder ?

Thanks

The AWStats configuration is automatically generated if AWStats is both (1) available to users and (2) enabled for the applicable account domains. Before attempting to manually run stats, please enable more verbose logging by adjusting the stats log level using WHM via the following menu path: WHM: Main >> Server Configuration >> Tweak Settings >> Stats and Logs >> Stats log level [?] Larger numbers indicate more debug information in /usr/local/cpanel/logs/stats_log (Minimum: 1; Maximum: 10)

Please carefully check the following areas in cPanel and WHM to ensure that the desired statistics programs are fully enabled and available to users:

Please also reference the following post and let us know the requested information as it should help better determine a path forward: cPanel Forums - View Single Post - Awstats Not Updating?

Thank you for the details. To diagnose the issue further some additional information is needed.

Via root SSH access, please provide the output that is displayed when entering each of the following commands; in the last command shown replace "username" with the cPanel account username:
Code:
# egrep -hi "skip(analog|awstats|webalizer)|stats" /var/cpanel/cpanel.config
# cat /etc/stats.conf
# grep -HiR "STATGENS" /var/cpanel/users
# cat ~username/tmp/stats.conf

I see the list "VALIDUSERS" is populated but it does not contain the specified user as defined within the file "/etc/stats.conf"; the list of allowed/valid users may be left blank or it may be explicitly configured/defined. This list and other stats preferences can be setup using WHM via Statistics Software Configuration. Access this area in WHM and then, under "User Permissions" click "Choose Users." The next page that loads is "Choose which users can modify their statistical software"; once here, move the desired username from "Available Users" to "Allowed Users", or, as an alternative to just moving one user, either click "Add All" if you wish to have all users explicitly allowed or click "Remove All" if you wish to implicitly allow or deny based on the setting (on the previous page) "Allow all users to change their web statistics generating software."

To clarify and reiterate, if you wish to allow all users to modify their stats preferences, you may either:
  • "Add All" users to the allowed "VALIDUSERS" list, defined in /etc/stats.conf as setup via Statistics Software Configuration in WHM.
  • Or, "Remove All" users from the allowed "VALIDUSERS" list, and verify that "ALLOWALL=yes" in "/etc/stats.conf" that can be safely toggled via the "User Permissions" setting/option "Allow all users to change their web statistics generating software." of Statistics Software Configuration in WHM.

Once either the user is added to the allowed list, or all users added, or all users removed, please re-run stats via root SSH access (using the same command as seen earlier):
Code:
# /scripts/runweblogs username
If, after trying the above suggestions, there may still be any difficulty, please submit a support request so that we may assist with investigating the issue; when available, please send me your ticket ID number so that we may follow-up internally. If you would like me to directly assist in the ticket, you may also prefix your ticket subject/title with "Attn Don" and I will be more than happy to help determine the cause of the difficulty.

Hello

Thank you for your reply.

Everything you say has been verified and activated. I think the problem comes from somewhere other than the configuration of stats.

The problem is I think in Cpanel because when I click on my awstats or webalizer link I have error message "No domain has awstats stats available." or if I choose analog, my domain was listed but when I click to view the stats I am asked to choose a month to view, but I have no choice for months before.

How can I send you in private an account access to Cpanel, for you to see the real problem.

Thank you for your patience and your help.
