When I select Awstats I get the following error:

Error: Couldn't open config file "awstats.uploadhut.com.conf" nor "awstats.conf" after searching in path ".,/home/upload/tmp/awstats/,/etc/opt/awstats,/etc/awstats,/etc,/usr/local/etc/awstats": No such file or directory

    - Did you use the correct URL ?
    Example: http://localhost/awstats/awstats.pl?config=mysite
    Example: http://127.0.0.1/cgi-bin/awstats.pl?config=mysite
    - Did you create your config file 'awstats.uploadhut.com.conf' ?
If not, you can run "./../../tools/awstats_configure.pl" from command line, or create it manually.

Check config file, permissions and AWStats documentation (in 'docs' directory).

    Any ideas?

    Thanks
    Akhil

Check the accounts disk usage - It's most likely used up all it's disk space allocation and the stats files can't be written /home/$user/tmp/awstats

I can access the awstats now but they do not seem to update. I copied the /tmp/awstats files from my old server which I hosted my domain.

    Why is this?

Keep in mind that from the time you first enable AWstats via WHM -> Server Setup -> Tweak Settings -> Stats Programs that reports will not be available until stats are run based on the time in the cronjob (and the frequency you have set under "Number of days between processing log files).

The conf file you refer to is created at the time of report generation -- so it sounds like this could be a new setup.

If you have root access you can initiate a stats run via:
    /scripts/runweblogs <username>

If not, you'll have to wait until the next morning to be able to check the reports.

We are having this exact problem. Seems that awstats folder does not get created under /home/username/tmp/. We had to create the awstats folder under /tmp then ran /scripts/runweblogs to get it working however that does not take care of new sites being created on the server. New accounts are getting created without the awstats folder.

    Can you have an update?

Also, what is the Statistics Software Configuration icon for? We have awstats set in tweaks for all accounts. So then why do users have to select awstats from the Statistics Software Configuration icon??? I do not have weblogs enabled in Addons or at least i cannot see this option. Please clarify.

I was able to fix this issue by:

    1. locate awstats. | less
    then find some /home/somename/tmp/awstats/awstats.somedomain.ext.conf
    2. Copy it to the erred domain at: home/someerrname/tmp/awstats/awstats.erreddomain.ext.conf
    3. Open it and replace all somename with someerrname and somedomain.ext with erreddomain.ext
    4. chmod someerrname:someerrname
    5. /scripts/runweblogs someerrname

That should put you back to day one...but working
