Let's say you were moving your server to a new box when you do a backup and restore to a new clean Linux and cPanel does the backup grab everything needed for doing such a move?
Things like clients e-mails, settings, domains, etc. If not how can a person do a backup in case of failure or crash?

When you are restoring from a full server backup, the only prerequisite is a functioning cPanel/WHM. Keep in mind server-specific settings such as hostname and IP addresses are not stored in full server backups, but everything else is.
