I have a FTP server ready for backups.

I would like to make a complete server backup once a month and specific accounts back ups weekly. How should I configure WHM/cPanel back up feature?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey,

In root WHM go to Backup > Configure Backup chose Monthly and make sure Incremental backup is OOOOOFFFFFFFFF. Then go down some ways and fill in your FTP information. Also don't forget to set the Backup Type to Remote Ftp Server...

That setting does not put each accoun into a .tar.gz format. This setting when turned on only works on the local server. The good side is that it only backups what has changed, causing less load on your server. However it does not put in to a .tar.gz format and doesn't work with FTP backups...
