Hello ! :)

When I click on "Back up configuration", I get a page where I can see that backup is disabled...
When I click on "Legacy backup configuration", I get a page and I see it is enabled.

It seems like my web site is backed up since I find a backup file on my ftp server.

So, what is the difference between "Back up configuration" and "Legacy backup configuration" ?

Thank you ! :)

Hello ! :)

Thank you for the links.

So, if I understand well, the legacy backup system (which I am using) is bound to disappear in the future WHM versions. So I must disable it and enable the backup system.
Am I right ?

Thank you ! :)

Hello :)

A new backup system was introduced in cPanel version 11.38. You can read about the improvements at:

cPanel 11.38 - Improved Backup System

System administrators who may not feel comfortable with this update can still use the 11.36 version of Backup Configuration, formerly called "Configure Backups" now called "Legacy Backup Configuration". There are no immediate plans to disable the legacy backup system, but I do recommend trying the new backup system due to it's many improvements.

Thank you.

Then now december of 2013,
the best option is take/use [Legacy Backup Configuration] ???
The new backup system includes several improvements. There is no reason to use the legacy backup system unless you encounter specific issues or have custom configurations that you are not able to modify yet.

Thank you.
