Was viewing a Flash Tutorial on Backups in cPanel > Bluelagoon, and noticed an option I'd never seen before. Attached image describes it in more detail and includes what information I could get on Server details; taken from another of their Flash Tutorials.

Would like to know if anyone has been able to duplicate what the image shows:
"Providing backups from the Server as setup in 'root' WHM for backup schedule -- according to daily, weekly, monthly."

The person who did the Tutorial did not do the setup so they were not able to answer.

Not sure what you're asking here but that's normal for a cPanel server with backups enabled from what I can see there.

That's my point. We've always had backups enabled but do not get the same option showing in cPanel.

    We are currently using:
    WHM 10.8.0 cPanel 10.9.0-R10737
    CentOS 4.5 i686 - WHM X v3.1.0

In the past, Edge & Current have been used but still no setting like shown in the attached image.
Does anyone else get the same setting in their cPanels?

    What am I missing?

That looks custom to me, as I have not seen that before.

I poked around in ours here last night and can't find this to turn on or off, but I do recall those being there long ago. There were three actually. weekly daily monthly depending on how your server was setup.

Weird, never seen that before either.. They only get to download the daily even though server has weekly and monthly set up.

    Hi Nick,

    Several things, cPanel v 15921

Would you mind explaining how to disable (or solve these issues below) this part of the "System Backups" feature (which this thread is about) from the customers view please? It's not working exactly as it should be I don't think.

daily, weekly, monthly, seem to work ok when clicked and downloaded, but on unpack using winrar, first error is:

Cannot create or replace courier1: Cannot find the specified path

Click past that one and winrar states:
(account name in this example, mydomain.com)

Note: first line is missing first letter of domain name in error message.

That same error (on first line in quote above) happens when generating/downloading/unpacking full system backup as well.

ATM, we also have Monday, Tuesday showing available for download too. These two when clicked download empty archives.

For us, I think generating a full system backup is enough. So I'd like to remove the daily.weekly.monthly.monday.tuesday...etc options from view.

I have not checked other accounts yet to see if these results are system wide or account specific. But there appears to be some small issue with backup system.

DBs and normal user files seems to be fine in unpacked archive at this point.

    TIA
