The email we receive every night only contains Net::FTP lines and the subject Cron root@xxxxx.com /scripts/cpbackup

We would like to receive by mail the full backup archived on

    /usr/local/cpanel/logs/cpbakup

And the subjet saying the backup was ok or fault.

    How can this be done?

You should be getting a second email with the subject line:

    [cpbackup] Backup complete on host.yourserver.com

    And in the body says:

Please see the attached log file.

And there should be a log file attached.

If there was a problem it would be in that logfile attached to the email.

Yes! I entered the email only on root redirection. In contact information (tab All) we have two emails now, the developer team and the IT team (us).

Sorry for that so newbie question...

Is it possible to send backup notifications only to one email? not both

I'm not sure I follow you, you have set contact Info to use 2 emails, but want to change it back to one? Are both emails listed in Contact Section?

The contact info in Basic cPanel & WHM Setup has now two emails (comma separated. On Main >> Server Contacts >> Contact Manager, the Alert Contact Priority Assignment is set to send email (high) for backups. So the email is sent to both mails.

We would like the backup mail notification to be sent only to one of those emails.

Sorry if I do not explain it very well

Hmm I think I got you now. Top of left menu in WHM, click Basic cPanel & WHM Setup. Top box you should see those two email addresses to edit.

In Contact Manager I set mine to Low.

I like to be emailed about every little thing. ;)

    Thanks,

so if there are two emails in contact info, notifications are sent to both. You can not chooose what notifications send to one email or what notifications send to the other email.

    Allright!
