Backup entire cPanel server with Symantec Netbackup

New cPanel user here -

Was forced to stand up a CentOS cPanel server for a group. All of our IT gets backed up via Symantec Netbackup agents on servers.

So, Netbackup isn't installed via an RPM - can we still install the client remotely from the Netbackup server?

It can be installed remotely via one of four methods. Info regarding this starts on page 118 of the below manual. Though the manual says "UNIX", the instructions apply also to Linux.

Note, the Netbackup client is only compatible with the 64-bit version of CentOS, so if you installed 32-bit version you'll be out of luck.

So your saying that the standard methods for install will still work, even though this server is build off of the cPanel ISO.

As for 32-bit - yeah, you have to use the 6.5 client for that.
