Using the Site Management backup tool in cpanel, when backing up a relatively large, 4GB account to anohter cPanel server, using the FTP mode in backup, gives me a file like this on the target server:

    .pureftpd-upload.44dec68a.15.34db.622cd929

Yet I get an email message saying that the backup is complete, and by the way, there is plenty of room on the target account and server, as well as within the sending account and server.

Does anyone know what to make of this?

    Thanks much!

    That's an incomplete upload.

Pure-ftpd renames the file when it completes the upload from .pureftpd.xxx to backupfilename.tar,gz (as an example), so it looks like your file is corrupt, incomplete.
