backup from CPanel

I see that Nocster.net charges backup to spare IDE HD, isn't possible from CPanel to do

backup to my additional HD that I took/bought?

Providers charge for additional Hard Disk which is required for backup feature in Cpanel either you or your provider can add this to your server but if you rented a dedicated server you have to get that HD from your provider and if you use co-location service you can add your own HD.

However it is possible to use external Backup device too (like tape backup) after adding hardware device then set up Backup feature in WHM
