Hello

Backup run during night and lo report an error with "no space left"

On the partition backup we have 7.2 GB totale and backup compressed must be 3GB..

Seems the problem is that procedure first copy on backup partition and after run gzip .. right ?

So have error :
Creating Archive ....
gzip: stdout: No space left on device

Any idea to solve this ?

Tx

Yes, cPanel backup copies the files/folders related to an account in one directory and then gzip it. You definitely should have an account that is more in size than the available disk space on the backup drive.

Well, cPanel backup do not gzip the /home partition directly. You will have do it manually by writing a script and scheduling it using a cronjob.

So if I have /backup partition that is 7.2 GB and only one account that is 8 GB this cannot be backup.. also if after gzip this account is only 2 GB
