We recently had a catastrophe where are hacker got into our server and launched "rm -F /backups" as well as "rm -F /home". Luckily I was quick enough to kill their nefarious attempts to delete all data on the server however they did delete several account starting with "a" before I killed their processes and dropped the server.

For this reason I am thinking that I need to mount / umount the backup drives when needed and I know cpanel has this function. But I want to dive a bit deeper. I have 2 backup drives and I want to mount cpbackup/weekly and cpbackup/daily to separate drives and I dont think the cpanel mount / umount feature is going to cut it for me.

    Any thoughts?
