    Hi!

I look at ls -ltr /backup/cpbackup/monthly and I see those backups are three months old, two months old and the like across all of my Cpanel servers.

I renamed monthly to monthly.0 and then created an empty monthly hoping that would flush something wrong with the backup system.

Ran backups this morning, but the logs say... The following backups were already up to date: weekly, monthly

I ls -ltr /backup/cpbackup/monthly and all I see is

    total 12
    drwx--x--x 9 root root 4096 Nov 13 19:49 ../
    -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 25 Nov 14 01:00 cpbackupstatus.cfg
    drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Nov 14 01:00 ./

How can I go about getting the backup system to make a new set of backups?

Perhaps a config or text data file I can fiddle with?

    Maaaau!

Thanks to you all for your help on this!!!

    ER

Am I really the only one with this problem? How about checking one of your servers at random to see if you have monthly backups going well? It´s just something one doesn´t look at frequently, except when it´s too late! Help! :)))

No answer on this yet. This is a really critical issue. I think Cpanel backup is really bad. I´m considering implementing one of the scripts out there.

Check what your servers are doing, because mine just stopped making monthly backups. Yours probably are on the same page. General problem.

Thanks for your reply. I began using the new backup system and the silly thing set /daily /weekly and /monthly to the oldest legacy backup, say today is 12 of the month, I see the three have datestamp 5th of the month. Customer is asking for two backups and the story is tragic all being backups of the 5th. I will follow your advice and bring cpanel into the loop.
