I'm trying to do a remote FTP backup of the user accounts on the server, But when I try to save the settings I get this error:

Only accounts can be backed up over ftp. The configuration file backup option has been turned off.

    I have tried every option

that error doesn't stop you, it just tells you that it's not going to back up configuration data.

We have found it usefull to use a small script in a cron job to backup "/etc" to our backup drive nightly. This dupes some of what Cpanel backs up, but also gets a lot of what Cpanel does not backup :D
