backup problem

    last night, backup didn't complete successfully, nor did i get emailed the unfinished logfile.
    tailing the end of the logfile looks a bit like this:

    as you can see, it's an ftp based backup. maybe the ftp server was busy at the time, but shouldn't this be something that it handles correctly, rather than just dying? is this a known problem, or just a one-off thing?

    Can you FTP to your backup server manually? Can your cPanel server ping your backup server?

    OT: The 10 character limitation came into play because you put the version info in a quote block.
