Im wondering if there is a way to get the backup function once its finished each night to send an email to report what domains were backup

I could have sworn cpbackup used to do this?

    Set a cron

Set an email address to get backup of your data in CronTab. So CronTab will send you
backup file to specified email address.

    :D

It should do that anyway. If you're not receiving them, then either the backups are not completing or the email is being lost. If you have extended exim logging enabled:

    grep cpbackup /var/log/exim_mainlog

Then grep for the message ID to see where it went.

This isnt working on any of our servers...

I just did a check on ome of them and one came back with:

    2006-08-22 09:37:36 cwd=/backup/cpbackup/Monday 2 args: /usr/sbin/sendmail -t

others come back with nothign at all

a couple of them came back that they had sent messages to my email and ive checked and nothing had been delivered and nothign is still in their queues undelivered

I have no problems getting any messages from the various servers cpanels so im at a loss

Ive got your daily backup rotation script setup and i do know that backups are occuring so im at a loss to explain it

Could they be being marked as spam and being deleted or filed elsewhere? You might want to add root@host.server.com for each server you receive emails from to the MailScanner whitelist on the server that you receive the emails to in WHM > MailScanner > Front-End > Spam Whitelist
