    Hey all,
I need to reformat a production server (ns1.mydomain.com) /me cries...
as I need to move from fedora core 2 to centos 3.5...
Now I have another server (which is set up as ns2.mydomain.com) and I would like to move all acocunts to this server temporarily while the main server is being rebuilt...

Now when I attempted to do a WHM copy account, it modified all the DNS settings on the main server (which of course borked all my clients sites) which is not what I wanted.

Ideally I would like to be able to use the WHM copy account function however I want the ns1 settings to stay as is and the ns2 settings to have the new dns settings...

Or if worse comes to worse I just to a backup restore of the cpmove files...
However when I also tried this it updated the DNS settings on ns1 (once again borking all my clients sites).

Does anyone know how to either use WHM account copy or backup restore on a secondary server without modifying the DNS settings on the main server?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Cheers
