Backup Retain backups in the default backup directory.

Hello I use on my Cpanel 11.38.2 the new backup option.

I have a FTP where the backups are stored.

The option Retain backups in the default backup directory is checked out. But still are the backups saved on my local machine.
Is this a know issue?

Backup archives should not remain on the local server if "Retain backups in the default backup directory" is not selected in "WHM Home » Backup » Backup Configuration". Please check the backup logs if this is happening to see if you notice any specific error messages. The backup logs are located in:

/usr/local/cpanel/logs/cpbackup

Just for information:

Cpanel Backup Won't delete backup's in the local folder if the file transfer does not complete to the remote location.
That was my case.

You should check /usr/local/cpanel/logs/cpbackup_transporter.log (This is the log for FTP, SFTP and maybe other backup transports.)

for something like that : "Upload attempt failed: time out reached"
