Hello.

I need a backup from last 7 days of a database.

My legacy backup configurations are :

WHM Version: WHM 11.38.2 (build 3) - Release

Status: Enabled (obviously)
Backup Interval: Daily
Backup Retention: Daily and Weekly
Days to run: Sunday to Saturday (7 days)

Backup SQL databases: per account
All backups, are going to a NFS filesystem with enough free space ; but, when I look inside of /backup/cpbackup/daily I just can see only a backup from last 28 August, and NOT previous days

On /backup/cpbackup/weekly, the same. Only one backup.

I suppose that a daily retention will not delete old backups.

I 'm wrong? Where is my mistake?

Edit:

I'm looking into http://docs.cpanel.net/twiki/bin/view/AllDocumentation/WHMDocs/BackupConfiguration#Timing Settings

Backup Daily

* Select the days of the week that you want to run backups. You may select more than one day.
* Enter the number of daily backups to keep in the Retain daily backups field. This may be any number between 1 and 9999.

note Note: To run a weekly backup, select one day.
I can't configure the days to retain backup.

Hello :)

Please browse to:

"WHM Home » Backup » Backup Configuration"

You will see an option that states:

"Retain __ Daily backups"

This is the number of backups that are retained at any given time. You may want to switch to using the new backup system to take advantage of this feature. The legacy backup system will only retain a single backup for daily, weekly, and monthly.

Thank you.
