What is the current situation of third party tools for allowing snapshots of websites inside cpanel with automatic / manual execution?

    E.g. this register.com/hostinghelp/software_site_sitesnapshot.html

It would be interesting to be able to define folders/databases to backup/restore not the complete cpanel account but parts which are belonging to the webapp, which are used inside the account. That way you could easily backup and restore e.g. wordpress installation, when there are issues e.g with an update.

Any developments in that area known and used by users here on this board?
    Thanks for your time.

    Hello,

You may be interested in looking at CPRemote backup application which allows backup to a remote server over ssh as incremental as well as local. You may also be interested to look at BackupsEtc which provides ability to do remote backups on their servers. They provide backup space according to your requirements just like doing cloud backups.
